Pumpkin Records was set up to release recordings on my own label rather than trying to persuade other record labels to record my music.

Originally conceived to record freely improvised music, the first release was Spark, a duo with drummer Mark Sanders. I then realised this was too limiting as I am interested in many areas of 
music. All my music has improvising but sometimes it is on pre-existing forms such as standard songs or my own compositions and at other times we create the form of the music as we play.

Other releases so far have been two recordings by Generations (Generations and Live at Riverhouse) which features pianist Barry Green, bassist Dave Green and drummer Jeff Williams 
improvising on standard songs, Two Not One, a duo of mainly ballads with guitarist Colin Oxley, double CD Always A First Time with guitarist Mike Outram and Jeff Williams featuring mainly 
original music.

The Quiet Mind is a live recording with the tuba player Oren Marshall and Mark Sanders, Sound Clouds is a duo with improvising classical pianist Douglas Finch and the latest two releases in 2016 are Zephyr with violinist, violist and singer Faith Brackenbury and Duos For Trio-The Music of Bela Bartok with cellist Matthew Forbes and drummer/ percussionist Phelan Burgoyne.
